Minister Linda Dukes
In loving memory of our dear Minisiter, Sister and Friend. You are greatly missed.
Minister Linda Dukes was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri and relocated to New York in 1991. After working for the State Farm Insurance Company for 25 years she retired in March 2000. She also worked for the Office of Professions in Legal Services of the NYS Education Department and just recently retired.
Minister Dukes received her license to preach the Gospel on October 20, 2004 at Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership and guidance of the late Reverend Willis F. Bruton. In June of 2005 she started an outreach Ministry for women coming out of incarceration called “Freedom Bound Ministries” where she promoted her teaching on the Mindset of the Incarcerated Women. This Ministry served the Albany County Jail and the community conducting worship Services and individual Bible Studies helping to assist women as they transitioned back into society to begin their new life.
Minister Dukes attended Columbia college in Columbia Missouri where she studied Criminal Justice. She completed her Associates Degree in Theology from the Payne Theological Institute, a satellite program from Wilbur force College, Wilbur Force Ohio. She also received an Associate Degree in Bible Studies and her Bachelor of Theology Degree from the Mid-Hudson Bible Institute, Albany NY in 2010.
Minister Dukes is married to Deacon Leon Dukes and they have 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Her hobbies are traveling, watching movies that deal with crime in society, shopping and spending time with her youngest grandchild Malachi. She loves working with people, studying and sharing the Word of God.
Linda loves praising and serving the Lord Jesus Christ and one of her favorite scripture is: Psalm 139:23 “Search me O God and know my heart; try me and know my anxieties and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting”. One of her favorite quotes is “Lord, make me quick to forgive, eager to make peace and forgetful for any wrong committed against me”, for in every act of forgiveness, I am again blessed by your grace and the remembrance of all you’ve done for me.
To God be the Glory
