We're Glad YOu're HERE!

Welcome to the Bethel Baptist Church website. We're glad you're spending some time with us. Here at Bethel we're always happy to greet someone new like you. Please take some time to explore our site. We hope something you see or hear on our site will help you along your Christian journey.

At Bethel, we believe the Bible is the True Written Word of God from cover to cover. We preach, teach and always try to live according to God's word and will. Again, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we're glad you're here with us.

On behalf of Reverend Byron E. Williams and the entire Bethel family.

Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart,

who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Jeremiah 3:15

We are so thankful to God for his blessings of our new Pastor the Reverend Byron E. Williams. On behalf of the entire Bethel Baptist Church family we extend a hardy welcome to you and your family. We look forward to Praising, Worshiping and serving God with you as we grow together in Christ. May God’s blessings continue to shine on you as you lead Bethel to higher heights in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts

The WAY WE WORSHIP

WHY DO WE WORSHIP?

Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:10).

HOW SHOULD WE WORSHIP?

God is a spirit, and they that worship him, must worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24).

WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS?

O clap your hands all ye people, shout unto God with a voice of triumph (Psalm 47:1).

WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS?

Lift up yours hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord (Psalm 134:2).

WHY DO WE HAVE AUDIBLE PRAISE UNTO GOD?

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name (Psalm 103:1).

WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS A PART OF THE WORSHIP SERVICE?

Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet, with the psaltery and harp, with the timbrel and dance, with string instruments and organs, upon the loud cymbals (Psalm 150:3-5).

WHY DO WE PRAY WITH LAYING ON OF HANDS AND ANOINTING WITH OIL?

They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:18). Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the Church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the lord (James 5:14).
